The purpose of this message is to an extend an invitation. But no pressure or obligation!

We are hosting another Professional Feedback Panel to support this upcoming term's Storyhouse cohort. At this point in the program, we invite professionals like you — journalists, science writers, knowledge mobilizers, writing/performance coaches, storytellers, and communication leads — to give feedback on the narratives the students have developed. These stories aim to translate recent research into specific audiences through creative storytelling performances.

The students will primarily look for feedback on clarity, engagement, narrative structure, and delivery. The primary goal is to provide the students with a supportive, generative "brain trust" of wisdom, experience, and expertise that they can tap into in order to enhance and fine-tune their narratives.

Taking part in the panel is also a fun way to network with colleagues in communications in a unique and constructive environment. It's a place to make and grow connections.

The feedback panel session will be at the Arthur and Sonia Labatt Health Sciences Building (1151 Huron Dr) in classroom 232 (behind the elevators on the second floor). https://goo.gl/maps/YQkQJXZ9KLSXBSzJ9

Thanks so much for considering! But, like I have previously mentioned at the outset, no pressure at all. I appreciate that we all have a zillion things on the go these days! 🙂 (If you know other science/story/comms people in your orbit who would be interested in sharing their brains with a new generation of science communicators, please let me know!)

Thanks for considering! And please let me know if you have questions.

All the best,

PS. Quick backgrounder on the program: Storyhouse trains students in science communication and narrative theory. It is a condensed, 9-week professional development opportunity in storytelling and communications. The “innovative twist” of the program is that the narratives developed here directly augment the knowledge mobilization efforts of researchers by creating tailored narratives for targeted, specific audiences who can use or implement new research.
